Certifications and Compliancy
CCHIT VersaSuite 7.6 received ambulatory certification from the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) in 2006. This certification expired in January 2010. VersaSuite has been waiting for the final "meaningful use" ruling and for CCHIT to receive official accreditation as a meaningful use certifying body before moving forward with recertification.
VersaSuite guarantees that it will meet all ARRA meaningful use requirements so that providers and hospitals can meet meaningful use. We guarantee it.
DICOM Among the most crucial aspects of any EHR system is its ability to store, manage, and access different types of data - text, images, etc. VersaSuite supports all of the latest standards for data exchange, including Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), the generally accepted standard for image data exchange and communication.
DICOM was created by and endorsed by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) to unify the image capture, viewing, and sharing processes, and there are hundreds of diagnostic tools that comply with the standard, making data exchange and communication between VersaSuite and diagnostic equipment simple and intuitive.
VersaSuite is fully DICOM compliant, and supports over 110 image formats. Using our comprehensive VersaPACS image viewer, you can view, browse, and manipulate hundreds of images, DICOM or non-DICOM, simultaneously. VersaSuite also supports some of the most advanced features of the DICOM standard, including the ability to measure real distances on the computer screen, regardless of image or monitor size. For more information about DICOM and NEMA, please visit DICOM's website. For more information about VersaPACS and VersaSuite's image management system, click here. IHE Providing an electronic interface to medical instruments is a hallmark of any powerful EHR system. The direct communication between the EHR system and the medical instruments and management of the data gathered via the medical instruments by the EHR system is an integral part of a true paperless office. Direct capture of data by the EHR system not only saves resources and eliminates human errors but also makes data accessible to the healthcare provider from anywhere in the world.
VersaSuite is proud to be in the forefront of such initiatives by being compliant with the latest in Electronic Data Interchange standards for the healthcare industry.
